Children’s Events end of July- Parsons Close etc

Funtime in the Park – Monday 25th July 2011 – Friday 29th July 2011
An hour of songs, dancing, stories and games aimed at all age children and theirparents. We will be in Parsons Recreation ground near to the splash park from10.30a.m. Until 11.30a.m. If raining we will be sheltering in the Band stand.
The theme for the week is Superheroes, and we invite all children and theirparents to meet a superhero – ‘Supersheep’ A.K.A Fluffy! We will be exploring thecharacteristics of a superhero, and what makes our superhero – Jesus, special to us.
With puppets, competitions and prizes, the first week of the summer holidays isgoing to be a great adventure!
Family Funtime – at Hockliffe Street Baptist Church
Sunday 31st July 2011 3pm-4pm
Aimed at young children and their families, we will be continuing our Superherotheme. Come along and meet Fluffy and more of his friends at our Family Funtimesession on Sunday afternoon. With songs, theatre and stories we will introduce oursuperhero – Jesus, and learn some more about him.

Hope Puppet Team- come and see us

We meet weekly to practice and our group welcomes new members. We are all ages and all enjoy working with puppets. Each week we learn new routines for the puppets to mime along to. We are performing at the Leighton Buzzard Carnival and Canal Festival. We also have a special afternoon fun time where the puppets will do songs, there will be some magic and singing and dancing for the children. Come along and see us.

 

Who we are

Our team is open to everyone, young and old. As long as you are over 8 years of age. So far we have several children, parents and a grandparent involved. It is great fun practicing and we enjoy it when we perform.

What we do

Once a week we meet to practice on a Monday evening. We start with puppet aerobics, then we listen to some pop music and think how the puppets should perform. Each person takes a puppet character or animal. Everyone has a role.
